So as you can probably tell, I am SUPER happy about Christmas this year! I really don't know why. I just am. Mom told me that I'm getting fewer presents this year because the things on my list are a little on the expensive side, but I'm completely okay with that. I'd rather get some things on my list than get a bunch of stuff that wasn't. I know that sounds greedy but I'm just saying.
So far this year as early presents from friends/church members are: A blanket(Lizabeth Renee:P), earrings/necklace (Emily), another sock monkey (Emily's mom and dad), and a scarf/gloves (Paul and Gale).
So far present that I've gotten for others are: A blanket (Emily), another blanket (Victoria), I'm helping Alyssa pay for getting our nails done if we go, and Caitlin, Alyssa, and I are getting friendship necklaces if we go to the mall and I'm paying for them.
And as for Christmas movies I have watched Elf 3 times and Christmas Vacation once. Ah, Christmas movies:)
SANTAAA!!!!!!! OH MY GOSH! Santa?! Here?! I know him! hahahah:D
Is there sugar is syrup? Then YES!
ReplyDeleteI've seriously simplified Christmas the past two years. I never understood how Mom & Dad just don't get into receiving gifts, but now I do!
Adam & I finally nailed down our niche of making homemade treats. We're doing scrapbooked name blocks for the babies, cider/truffles/hot carrots in jars for friends, and homemade planter boxes for Karol & Jeanne. I love putting time & effort into it because it's easy for people to spend 5 minutes buying but it takes something special to create a meaningful gift. I think that's why you get satisfaction out of making those blankets! It's not about money, but the careful thoughtfulness.
