Un-Needed Pressure

Today before my volleyball game, the varsity coach came over and started chatting with me. We were mainly talking about volleyball (obviously) and it went a little something like this:

Coach Kylie: "So are you still passing?" (as in being back row)
Me: "Yea."
Coach Kylie: "You should really play club this year."
Me: "I don't know if I can."
Coach Kylie: "Why not?!"
Me: "I don't know. But I can try to convince my parents to let me play."
Coach Kylie: "Yea you really should. How old are you?"
Me: "I'm 13."
Coach Kylie: "When will you be 14?"
Me: "In February."
Coach Kylie: "Okay so you'd be on the 14 year old team. Alright. Well I want you to
play club so I can start seeing how you play on the court."
Me: "Okay I'll do my best!"

Ugh. It's amazing that the VARSITY coach wants to start looking at me as a player, even though he scouts JV and Varsity, it's still an amazing honor. But Mom and Dad have told me many times that they're not sure that I'll be able to because sometimes they have Sunday games and church is a priority. I just need to figure out what I can and can't do and what I am capable of.

Why me?
